    SET UP

A frame dolly would be ideal, but can be expensive and takes up space. I used saw horses and it worked great. Jack stands could work, but your back will pay dearly.

    THINGS TO CONSIDER

    • Underbody: I sprayed Raptor Tough Protective Coating after seeing other builders do it. I am very glad I did!
    • Sound Deadening & Insulation: DEI and Siless make great products. I went with Siless 3-in-1 + Second Skin Mega Zorbe Pro.
    • Coolant Pipe Insulation: I used a 1.5" Fiberglass Fire Sleeve. I've seen other builders use DEI products or Header Wrap. All great options.
    • Floor Protection: I installed several Bumper Scrape Guards (cheap & easy to install/replace).
    • Firewall: I am using:
      - Cockpit Panel: Siless 3-in-1
      - Between Panels: Mega Zorbe Pro
      - Engine Bay: DEI Tunnel Shield (Black)

    Fluids

Note: Some of these are LT-specific. Be sure to source the proper products for your setup.

    • Brake Fluid: DOT 5.1 (AP Racing provided)
    • Clutch Fluid: DOT 4 (.25L)
Motul RBF 600 DOT 4 Racing Brake Fluid
    • Coolant: Prestone Platinum (pre-mixed). Note: GM recommends Zerex Dex-Cool, but apparently it'll destroy your coolant system.
    • Oil: 8-9L of Mobile1 fully synthetic 0W-40 (European Car Formula)
Checked when running or just switched off. Oil should be at top baffle plate in reservoir.
    • Oil Filter: Wix WL10290XP (shorter for easier removal)
    • A/C: 500 grams R134A
    • Front Lift Kit: 150ml ISO 32 mineral-based oil HVLP (DIN51524)
Use: STP AW-32 Hydraulic Fluid 1 Gallon

    • Gear Box Oil (open large photo)
Ultima build website says 2.7L (EVO) and 3.5L (RS) - wrong!
      Correct: 5L Semi Synthetic GL5 EP75/90
Motul Gear 300 SAE 75w90 fully synthetic (Non Limited Slip version)
      Per California Motorsports (CMS):
"Oil level needs to be just below the diff center. Just up to the bottom lip of the axle seal. You can remove the axle to verify.
As per your picture, it would be the orange line above the red line. Capacity should be in the neighborhood of 5L."

Using my homemade dip stick, the final correct volume was 5L.
